The popular online recording studio for music creation and podcasting is used by schools, teachers, and students across the globe

Stockholm, Sweden—May 28, 2020—Soundtrap for Education, the popular online recording and editing studio used by educators and students to explore creative sound-making, is now available to schools and classrooms throughout Australia and New Zealand exclusively through Music EDnet, a regional partner of MusicFirst. Access to the online studio for interested schools or teachers is available here.

“We’ve been working toward a solution that allows us to best serve our community of schools and educators throughout Australia and New Zealand, and are excited to partner with Music EDnet to add our online studio to their first-class library of music tools,” said Matteo Ottaviani, Head of Soundtrap for Education. “We’ve had a longstanding relationship with Music EDnet and MusicFirst, and are thrilled to have the support of these organizations to simplify and streamline the process of partnering with schools, educators, and classrooms throughout the region.”

Using Soundtrap, teachers, and students can create, communicate, and collaborate to explore creative sound-making through audio stories, music creation, podcasting, literacy training, and more. The cloud-based studio offers a safe learning environment that can be accessed via any device, at any time, from any location. Students can get started creating their own sounds right away with the studio’s thousands of loops and presets, the patterns beatmaker, built-in instruments, and more.

“Our mission is to inspire and support educators in making a meaningful difference to music and arts education through the effective integration of technology,” said Keith Huxtable, Managing Director, Music EDnet. “Adding Soundtrap for Education’s online music studio to our collection of tools helps us continue this mission and offer our community of schools and teachers a safe and robust studio environment for students to become music makers themselves.”

The new partnership will streamline the purchasing process for interested schools and classrooms throughout Australia and New Zealand, making it easier for educators and students to get started exploring, collaborating, and creating in the online studio together.
